Andrew Jordan is a K-12 principal who has implemented initiatives that have increased school score tests and lowered out-of-school suspensions. Equipped with four college degrees, Principal Andrew Jordan intends to obtain a PhD to better prepare himself for future education leadership roles. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball and golf.

Playing golf has various benefits. According to a 2009 Swedish report, people who play golf increase their life expectancy by around 5 years. Playing golf has also been found to improve blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. Doctors also note better strength and balance in players over 60 years old (compared to people of that age who don’t golf), which lessens the risk of falls and injuries among seniors.

These benefits are largely the effects of the walking and swinging involved in the sport. An 18-hole game involves playing for 3 hours or more, which requires considerable effort. Golf can also improve mental health since players talk to each other while playing, improving social interaction and lessening the chance of depression.
