About Andrew Jordan

A longtime K-12 administrator, Illinois school principal Andrew Jordan has set in place district-wide initiatives designed to provide for professional development and to erase curriculum gaps. One of Andrew Jordan’s focuses as principal has been scheduling assemblies that provide rewards to students for positive behavior and achieving above and beyond expectations.

Mr. Jordan previously held a similar position at West Carroll Primary School and spearheaded efforts that boosted PARRC test scores. As assistant principal at West Prairie High School in Sciota from 2014 to 2016, he was successful in guiding a district-wide safety plan and effectively managed student discipline at athletic events. He also set in place the Evaluwise system and trained staff members on its use.

Mr. Jordan’s leadership accomplishments draw on six years as teacher and varsity boys’ basketball coach at West Prairie. He also has taught physical education and weight training, as well as drivers education classes. Active in his community, he organized the Stockton 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and 5k Run for more than a dozen years.
